How the Program Works
Western SARE Visiting Research and Education Grants provide an opportunity for researchers around the world to partner with farmers, ranchers, agricultural professionals, and other researchers of the Western U.S. region for conducting research, education, and Extension activities. Projects focused on unexplored topics and understudied geographic locations are of special interest.
Applicants can choose between one of two options: a mini-visit from 1 month–6 months for up to $35,000 or a long visit from 6 months—1 year for up to $75,000.
Archived CFPS are to be used as EXAMPLES ONLY. Please be aware that upcoming Calls may differ. However by reviewing these documents you will get an idea of what Western SARE is looking for in a good proposal and begin your planning efforts.
