Visiting Research and Education

Open - Closes October 5

How the Program Works

Western SARE Visiting Research and Education Grants provide an opportunity for researchers around the world to partner with farmers, ranchers, agricultural professionals, and other researchers of the Western U.S. region for conducting research, education, and Extension activities. Projects focused on unexplored topics and understudied geographic locations are of special interest.

Applicants can choose between one of two options: a mini-visit from 1 month–6 months for up to $35,000 or a long visit from 6 months—1 year for up to $75,000.

Please note that awards provided under these Calls are contingent upon USDA-NIFA authorizing the funding to our Host Institution, Montana State University.

program works, register for the August 12 webinar here.
